Won't You Be My Neighbor?
February 2 - February 23, 2020
The recent release of the movie, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, saw Tom Hanks portray Mr. Roger’s on the big screen. Of course, the real Mr. Roger’s made his mark on the small screen, coming into thousands of homes every day with his show, Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. It was a show meant for children, but in reality had a lot to teach all of us.
Tom Brokaw of NBC Nightly News once said of Fred Rogers, “Mr. Roger’s was an ordained minister, but he never talked about God on his program. He didn’t need to.” Mr. Roger’s left a spiritual legacy that is so needed in our world today.
Join us this February for a four-week sermon series on the simply faith of Mr. Roger’s, as we look together at what it means to be a good neighbor with our heart, with our eyes, and with our hands.
It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood…Won't you be my neighbor?
